Geography is the study of where places are, what they are like, what life is like in those places and how places are changing. Our world has become an increasingly complicated place. We don't know what part of the world will be on the news tonight and how events there will concern us. It is important to know the world and to know about the world before the world comes to us.

Without Geography you are nowhere!
The Geography teaching team is Mrs. Steel, Mrs. Brennan, Mr Kelly and Mr. Scoltok.
Key Stage 3
Year 8 classes have 1 Geography lesson a week and they study topics about population, tourism and tectonic and weather hazards. They complete an in depth study of Italy.
Year 9 classes have 2 Geography lesson a week – lucky them! They study topics about development, environmental issues and changing coastlines. They also study Brazil and Kenya. By the end of Key Stage 3 all students have an understanding of countries at all levels of development.
We sometimes suspend the programme of study to look at an issue in the news. We’ve studied geography through the World Cup, Bird Flu and even Red Nose Day!
