Latest New Horizons Magazine
Welcome to another edition of New Heys, New Horizons packed with exciting events and activities that have recently taken place involving us…the New Heys Community.
This edition of New Horizons fits perfectly with the article recently featured in The Times in which the school has described as “creating can-do kids. We have been awarded the ‘Go 4 It’ Award by the HTI and the assessors were particularly struck by the schools ‘can do’ culture and exceptionally strong partnership with the community. Our students were described as resourceful and independent. Adults nationally are bemoaning today’s risk-adverse, cotton-wool kids but not at New Heys. I think you will agree this edition of New Horizons illustrates how we work together to teach all of us to experience, judge and manage risk.
You will also read inside about our new role as ‘Junior Chamber School’ – the only one in Liverpool! Chamber Chief Executives were astounded by the amazing quality of Business and Enterprise education at New Heys and you will be aware no doubt just how proud we are of this. Thank you again for everyone’s support with it.
So, finally before I close, that leads me to the recent announcement concerning the future of New Heys. A brand new, state of the art Business and Enterprise Campus to be opened in 2013. This is better than we could ever imagine and is a fantastic opportunity for the community of South Liverpool. It is a dream come true which can only serve to further broaden pupils horizons!
Anyway, as always enjoy your read and I hope you will agree with me it is fantastic to be a part of New Heys.
Thanks for all your support
