New Heys is Leading the Network

SEEN it, done it!

New Heys has been selected by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust to lead the Schools Enterprise Education Network (SEEN). Schools in Liverpool, Wirral and Halton have been invited to network events throughout the year to hear how enterprise can be delivered in schools across the three local authorities.

New Heys is the hub school and we have three spoke schools across the patch. The spoke schools are Ridgeway, Wirral Grammar School for Boys, Pensby Girls School and St Hildas.

Each school in the network is linked to one of the leading schools and given support to make sure they are able to deliver enterprise in their school. Apart from the support and network events, training is offered to other schools. New Heys will be hosting two events this year.

We are also planning to hold a library of resources to make sure other schools aren’t starting from scratch and to showcase any work schools in the network have already achieved. SEEN it, Done it! Part of our commitment to the network has been to make sure we have webpage with information for our area, we’ll see that up and running in the new year.

The events we have run so far have been well attended and given teachers in the network the opportunity to share best practice. The schedule for meeting has been drawn up for one per half term, with venues varying across the area.
