Admissions to New Heys
In line with the Local Education Authority’s policy, New Heys admits students who have chosen the school first, on a geographical basis, up to the school’s intake number. Although it is becoming an increasingly popular choice for students not in the immediate catchment area, New Heys recruits mainly from its partner primary schools which are:
• Banks Road Primary School
• Booker Avenue Primary School
• Garston Church of England Primary School
• Gilmour Junior School
• Springwood Heath Primary School
The maximum number of students the school is able to take in Year 7 is 180.
It would seem unlikely, therefore, that parents who nominate the school as second choice will be offered a place.
Please note: Parents who reject the offer of a place at New Heys automatically forfeit this place, even if they are unsuccessful in their application to another school. Arrangements can be made to show any interested party all that the school has to offer whatever the time of the year. Please contact the school if you would like to organise a visit.
