Induction Programme
The school places great importance in ensuring that new students settle in well to life at New Heys. A series of induction activities are therefore planned to ensure this transition is successfully achieved.

Open Evening
Summer Term, Year 6
Head of Year visits primary schools to speak to children and teachers
SEN Specialist Teacher visits primary schools
Student Induction Day to meet form teacher and future classmates, meet Year 9 mentors and sample lessons
Parent/Student Induction to meet form tutors
Summer School Programmes for new year 7 students
Year 5
Children spend a day at New Heys to experience school life
