One of our aims at New Heys is to give all students opportunities to participate fully in the life of the school and to enjoy a sense of achievement by developing their own particular interests and talents.

Extra-curricular activities play a large part in the personal and social development of all students and a wide range is offered. Clubs and societies include Art, Drama, Dance, Technology, Maths, Music, Science and Outdoor Pursuits. There are also many visits arranged to theatres, concerts, museums and art galleries. A number of holidays abroad are organised each year, including a ski-ing trip and a residential visit to France.

The school has a well-established reputation and an excellent tradition of achievement in sport and also expressive and performing arts. We regard these activities as a very important part of the education we offer at New Heys.
