Why Study in Sixth Form?
It is now recognised nationally that students follow a broad programme of study. Many European students take a broader study package and have a more demanding study schedule. These are the students with whom our young people must compete for jobs and university places in a global market place. At New Heys we are equipping our students for the future and in line with Government advice we recommend that all students study more subjects than before in Year 12 before selecting and specialising in Year 13.
We believe however that life in the sixth form ought to offer more than just examination success. The last years at school give students the chance to develop a whole range of skills (sporting, musical, organisational, leadership, etc.) which stand them in good stead for the future. We believe that we offer everyone some of the very best opportunities to develop themselves.
"Capital Bank Motor moved to Speke three years ago and its future is dependent
upon quality of its personnel. Personally as a Governor and collectively as a Business, the positive attitude and creative environment that has been cultivated
within New Heys will help to give local businesses the right professionals for the future in a fast moving environment. Business Enterprise status will just add to the already high standards and help link both students and businesses together, benefiting both the individual and the community."
